phantomphreaq congratulations on getting your apprenticeship! Its good to hear such true words, I've also recently been searching around tattoo shops in my area with my art portfolio looking for a part time apprenticeship. Tattooing is something i've always loved and i also have been tattooing at home and am not pleased to admit that.
Its so nice to hear that someone has gone through the same as me, getting the same old responses from tattooists (even when they cant be bothered to look at my work). Today i got some good responses from the guys at my local tattoo shop, they seem really keen and hopefully they will take me on and train me on my days off from my regular work.
Good luck to both of you (palulkan) and hope it all works out for you! Thanks for posting this, its made me realise i should keep on trying.
